As you will learn, there are many rules in my class. In my class you will be a good student and a good person. Following these rules will help.
THE BARTEL 55
- Say name, sir, or ma’am.
- Make eye contact.
- Congratulate others.
- Don’t brag. Don’t show anger.
- Respect others.
- Ask a question in return.
- Don’t show disrespect with gestures.
- Cover your mouth. Say excuse me.
- Say thank you.
- Grade correctly.
- Follow when reading.
- Answer in complete sentences.
- Don’t ask for rewards.
- Homework everyday.
- Change subjects quickly and quietly.
- Be organized.
- Don’t complain about homework.
- When we have a substitute all rules still apply.
- Put your hand down when others are talking. No eating until everyone is served.
- Learn the school and the people in it.
- Use bathroom appropriately.
- Keep lunchroom spotless.
- Perform random acts of kindness.
- Follow all rules in class.
- Don’t worry about other people’s business.
- Follow bus rules.
- Be perfect on a field trip.
- Pick up dropped items.
- Hold the door.
- Say “excuse me”.
- Be perfect in the auditorium.
- Single file and quiet in line.
- Never cut line.
- No Hot Cheetos.
- Trust me to protect you.
- Have agenda and book.
- No unnecessary items.
- Take everything out of your backpack.
- Ladies first – always.
- No unnecessary school supplies.
- No notes or forgery.
- Push chair and basket in.
- Put things where they belong.
- Pick up after yourself.
- Absolute silence for announcements and visitors in room.
- Make up work when absent.
- Be in uniform.
- Don’t touch my stuff.
- Stand up for what you believe in.
- Be positive and enjoy life.
- Live so that you never have regrets.
- Accept and learn from your mistakes.
- Always be honest.
- Carpe diem (Seize the day).
- Be the best person you can be.
