"I am not a teacher; only a fellow traveler of whom you asked the way. I pointed ahead–ahead of myself as well as of you."
-
George Bernard Shaw

This website was originally created as an assignment for a master's class. I enjoyed web design so much I expanded it into what you now see to share information about myself, to showcase my professional and academic work, and to share my photos. I now use the site almost exclusively to show off my photography. I am currently the Technology Coordinator at Charles G. Hammond School. I taught for two years at James B. Mcpherson School in Chicago, IL and one year at R. E. Simpson School in Phoenix, AZ. I have taught third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. I also volunteer at the Chicago Photography Center teaching digital photography to adults in the evening as well as serving on their web development team.

I am from Rockford, Illinois and went to college at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. There I played lacrosse while getting my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I also have a masters degree in Educational Technology from National-Louis University. I currently live in Chicago but lived in Phoenix for a year after graduating fron NIU.

I enjoy taking pictures, teaching, learning, playing sports, pitching for the Killers, working with computers, riding my motorcycle, snowboarding, riding my mountain bikes, listening to music on my iPod, reading, watching movies, playing video games, and watching anything on the History and Discovery channels. Here is a link to some pictures of me doing my favorite activities.

When I was in college, I had to create a book about myself to share with my students. Here are the pictures from the book.
